Join us in Hamburg, Germany for BSR 2013
Held every three years, the principal objective of the International Biology and Synchrotron Radiation conference series (BSR) is to provide a unique forum to bring together scientists involved in the methodical developments on synchrotron and laser sources with a broad community of biologists in structural biology.
In 2013 a range of fascinating topics will be covered. Check out our preliminary programme to learn more!
We have expanded the scientific scope of the conference from a predominantly technically one to a more biologically oriented one. This will allow new challenges in structural biology to be tackled, such as the most recent advances in biological sample preparation, Free Electron Laser applications in biology, and a session dedicated to hybrid structural biology applications.
Scientists at all possible career levels from both academia and industry are invited to this meeting. There will be ample opportunity for participants to present their work - for example as selected short talks or during the poster session - as well as networking opportunities to meet colleagues, friends and future collaboration partners from all over the world.
BSR 2013 will be held at Hamburg’s first class Elysee Hotel in the city center. A tour of DESY’s most impressive research infrastructures - including PETRA, FLASH and the future X-FEL – is included in the registration fee. And don’t forget to make the most of your visit to Hamburg by seeing the sights of this thriving city!
Registration and abstract submission closes on 1 June 2013. Late registration without abstract submission is possible until 1 August 2013. Don’t forget to apply for a travel grant from the International Union of Crystallography when registering!
We look forward to seeing you at the 11th BSR conference in Hamburg.
